Casita las Palmas Puerto Aventuras Mexico is a charmingly simple 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2000 sq. ft. beach house, nestled in 'the palms' on Puerto Aventuras beautiful Omni beach. (see Riviera Maya map)   (see Puerto Aventuras map)   Perfectly located on the Mayan Riviera between Playa del Carmen and Tulum you will be near all the Riviera Maya has to offer.

From the moment you park the car and follow the short path through the lush, manicured, jungle gardens, and across the cute little foot bridge to the entrance of the home, you will begin to unwind.  

Once inside Casita las Palmas you will find that, while not large, the open floor plan provides lots of room, good ventilation, and a comfortable coziness that makes you immediately wish that you could stay longer.  There is a full kitchen, dining area, and lounge for relaxing, watching TV, or enjoying that wonderful view.  The master bedroom with King bed faces the ocean, has individual controlled A/C, and an en-suite bathroom with shower.  The other bedroom faces the garden, has one double, and one single bed, plus individual A/C.

Casita las Palmas is the fully serviced guest house of a larger villa that shares the property.  But you need not worry about your privacy, noise from the neighbors, or enjoying yourselves, because the lush gardens and lay out of the buildings ensure that you will hardly know that there is anyone but you in this tropical paradise. 

As cozy as the casita is, you simply won't be able to stay inside once you discover that gorgeous sandy beach and aqua blue water just steps beyond your door.  Here the warm Caribbean waters are shallow for quite a long ways out, and most often very calm due to the protection afforded by the reef a little further away.  This bay is a good place to swim, snorkel or even to catch the odd bone fish.  However, if all of that seems like just too much work, then why not relax in one of the lounge chairs on your sandy beach, or waste away the afternoon in a hammock under a shady palapa, while a cool breeze gently rocks you to sleep?  As if all this was not enough, Casita las Palmas has a small oceanfront pool hidden under the shade of the palms that is ideal for a quick dip.

If you can ever tear yourself away from this wonderful seclusion, you will quickly learn that only a short stroll up the beach is the fabulous Omni Hotel and village center where guests will find restaurants, bars, scuba diving, deep sea fishing charters, swim with the dolphins, parasailing, golf, tennis, and many more activities and services.

Guests of Casita las Palmas are permitted access to the Omni Hotel's Beach Club.  This private club allows members to use of the hotel swimming pool, chaise lounges & umbrellas, beach towels and the services of their beach and swim-up pool bars.  Guests only need pay for food and drinks which are offered at a discount to club members.

We are now back in Canada.  We had a fantastic time at Las Palmas and stay in Puerto Aventuras. Weather, venue and diving was great.  Pilar was a gracious host--we will certainly be back.  B Rennie, Feb. 2005.

The trip was excellent. It was our first time to Puerto Aventuras; I would (and will) definitely return. In fact, I have suggested it as a place to go for my mother and her friends next month.  The diving was phenomenal and we had a great time at Tulum. It is
certainly a good idea to engage the services of a guide at Tulum so as to have a better appreciation for the ancient civilization.   We really enjoyed the dining options, including having dinner preparedfor us at the villa. Vivianne the massage therapist, located in the marina, was "just what the doctor ordered"  Pilar was a very gracious "hostess" and her dog Flocky made up somewhat for the separation from our golden retriever!  I turn 50 next January. Although we have been contemplating going to
South Africa we are now reevaluating; a return 2 week stay at the casita las palmas may be in the works. Brian
