Here are a few of our GUESTS COMMENTS from the pages of
the guest book:

Hi Doug, I
can't believe that just a week ago we were enjoying the
beautiful weather of Puerto Aventuras when this morning we
were shoveling ourselves out of our driveway. Every member
of our party had an incredible stay at the villa .... We
found the house to be just right for us and even with our
party of 10 and the tiny lot, we never felt on top of one
another. We never actually used the Omni membership
but we did enjoy the gorgeous beach at Xpu-Ha X-7 one
afternoon. We paid someone at the RV park a parking fee and
planted ourselves on the sand. It was heavenly. The
DVD player in the main room was on the fritz. Not all of the
burners on the stove would light. Other than that,
everything was in order. Cheli and Marcos were both
fantastic. We had Cheli prepare a meal for us on our last
day and regretted not doing it earlier in the week. Not only
was the food the best we'd had during our stay, but the
leftovers would have fed us for another night........
We found a couple of restaurants in PA that we liked and one
which we thought was TERRIBLE: Gringo Dave's. We got roped
into the "kids eat free" offer, not realizing that the
children's meal consisted strictly of bland cheese
quesadillas and re-heated frozen fries. The adult meals were
fair to poor despite the fact that several of us ordered
from the "specials" board. Live and learn. We DID like
Richard's, Cafe Ole, and a place that I can't remember the
name of: next to Tiramisu. It could be new(ish). A few of us
had a nice brunch at Cafe-Cafe. The convenience
of the Puerto Aventuras location cannot be overstated. A
very manageable drive to Playa del Carmen for groceries and
in the other direction to Tulum. This was critical in
arriving first thing in the morning before it became
overcrowded and too hot. We spent an afternoon at Xel-Ha
which was clean and not over-crowded. Although it's
not really our kind of thing, we opted for this as it seemed
more low-key than Xcaret. The kids enjoyed the "theme-park"
feel and we worked mightily to eat and drink enough to
warrant the admission fee. There were still SO MANY
places left unexplored. We largely felt that we deprived
ourselves of some of the more "authentic" experiences that
the area has to offer. We are very interested in returning
so please let me know how quickly the villas are
booking......we wanted to emphasize, most of all, that we
had a really terrific stay. Thank you for all of your
assistance in arranging our stay. We hope to be working with
you for next winter's trip to the Riviera Maya. You have
chosen a sublimely beautiful spot to make your home!
Best regards Catarina T Feb. 2008
Hi Doug,
Just
returned home from our stay at Casa Mediterranea. Only one day back
to work, and we're ready to quit our jobs and move! No kidding.
Already started researching how we do it.
This was our 7th trip to Mexico,
and while we've loved everywhere we've been, we could truly see
ourselves living in or near Puerto Aventuras. You do have a piece
of heaven at your doorstep.
Please
tell the owners of Casa Med that we enjoyed their beautiful home ..
Thanks for allowing us to share their dream, if only for a week.
Hope to see you again!

July 2007
Hi Doug, We
had a fantastic time at the villa, as well as during our trip to
Mexico. Our girls truly loved having their own place, giving them a
feeling of having a “home away from home”, devoured Cheli’s
home-cooked meals, and enjoyed being able to use the facilities at
the Omni as well as those at the villa. Our friends, Kathy and
Bruce, my wife Mary and I all appreciated how well kept the villa
was, the friendly, responsive, and thorough attitude of the various
housekeepers, and how truly the actual villa met our expectations
from the online descriptions (actually it even surpassed our
expectations!) It was a wonderful vacation. Thanks again, M.

Had an Awesome
time! View and privacy was the best. Great place to stay.
We would come back in a heart beat. Weather was fabulous and the
steady breeze a plus... Swimming with the dolphins in PA was good!
Splurge for the dolphin rides$$... That makes the whole experience worth
while. Definitely go to to Chichen Itza it is worth the long drive
of 2 hrs there + 2 hrs back. Go toward Tulum and past Coba to get
there (don't go into Coba as we did) We got lost but had fun...
May 6-12,2006 Seattle WA.
Awesome Week!
The view is wonderful. The sun won't let you sleep past 7 AM,
but that's OK. Everything around Puerto Aventuras is nice.
Try Snuba Cat... wonderful crew and very much worth every penny.
Food choices were good. This was a GREAT vacation and I'm sad
to see it end. I would definitely consider coming again.

What a great time
we had. We were 10 in total. 6 adults, 4 children (6, 4,
2.5, 1) this was perfect for us. The casita was used as
the 'nap room' for both children & adults. Did a few tourist
things, but ended up spending 2 days at XpuHa - 6 beach. Most
beautiful beach around. We suggest you travel there.
Sandy white beach and you can rent chairs and umbrellas.

We brought our
whole family here for the first time on vacation together. It
was nice to be in a great setting and be together. Our
favorite was dinner by Cheli and her family. She is an amazing
cook. Order in as much as possible, we never found better food
anywhere. Thanks The O'Hara family Sept. 2005
The staff is
lovely & the view is fabulous - Be sure & go to Oscar and Lalo in
Tankha. We rented kayaks, paddled out to the reef & snorkeled
- followed by wonderful ceviche at the restaurant & cold cold vino
blanco & Modelo - The lagoon at Playa Akumal & La Buena Vida for
lunch. Great place for kids. lagoon is very calm and
restaurant very kid friendly - At the marina DO NOT eat dinner at
Gringo Daves. DO eat breakfast there - Tiramasu is great for
dinner. The birthday cake from Cafe-Cafe was wonderful.
Great place, great staff. CN March 22, 2004
The 11
of us had the time of our lives. We are lucky parents to have
5 children, 1 fiance, and 1 boyfriend who are all so close and
loving. We did the Jungle Tour on 4-wheelers (fabulous), went
to Xelha (wonderful snorkeling), sailed on Reataila (exciting and
beautiful), played golf & tennis and had many wonderful meals
together. Also spent a day at the Omni beach playing football
and in the waves. The staff was so gracious. All we can
say is 'Beautiful one day, Perfect the next' Christmas 2004
