Quinta del Mar is an impressive Riviera Maya oceanfront vacation villa located in the upscale resort of Puerto Aventuras Mexico.  Designed in a classic Mexican style by well known Cancun architect Guillermo Brueggerhoff.   Located south of Brisa Caribe in the Las Rocas area, this villa offers dramatic coastal vistas and a delightfully soothing atmosphere.   (see Riviera Maya map)  (see Puerto Aventuras map)

As soon as you pull in to the off street parking area, you can't help but be taken by the cute guest house and the inviting courtyard visible just beyond the wrought iron gateway.  Step inside this sunny garden area and a sense of tranquility begins to take hold of you.  Although you will no doubt be anxious to get inside and discover all of the charms Quinta del Mar has to offer, don't be surprised if your stride doesn't slow a little so that you can steal a moments pleasure from this tranquil green space.

Once inside the main villa, you can't help but appreciate the sense of space created by the vaulted ceilings and fabulous French doors opening up to the poolside terrace and ocean just beyond.  Richly toned mahogany cabinetry & window frames set against pastel washed walls, accented with colorful tiles and an impressive collection of original art, all work together to provide a classy yet casual Mexican ambiance.

The living room is spacious yet has a warm comfy feel.  The seating is arranged in such a way that you can enjoy each others' company, the great view or your favorite TV program on the American satellite system.  A DVD and stereo player are also provided, so bring along your favorite tunes and a few movies.  French doors framed in rich hardwood open up to allow the warm tropical breeze in or for you to step out to a large covered terrace poolside.  Teak chaise lounges invite you for a little siesta under in the shade.

The dining room is adjacent to the living room with more French doors to the outside.  This design feature really opens the villa up to the tropical breeze and true Caribbean living.  The large dining table is ideal for 8 but will work for 10.  A pass through archway opens into the very spacious kitchen.  This archway serves also as a breakfast or lunch bar with 5 stools placed in the kitchen to capture the view.

The kitchen has all the basics necessary for in home cooking and dining.  Or why not have one of our Mexican cooks in to spoil you with a traditional meal?

One of the highlights of this villa has to be the wonderful poolside area.  Vaulted ceilings supported by impressive columns over a covered terrace, dramatically frame pool and ocean vistas.  Built in wrap around seating provides a shady area to escape the strong Caribbean sun or a wonderful vantage point to watch the sun melt into the shadows over a late afternoon margarita with tortilla chips and guacamole. 

The large pool has a shallow end for kids and a wonderful sun deck with chaise lounges for tanning.  

Eventually the sun is going to set, the pitcher of margaritas will be dry and thoughts of sleep will be on everyone's mind.  Equally inviting at Quinta del Mar are the sleeping arrangements.

The main villa has 3 bedrooms.  On the ground floor is a lovely bedroom with King bed, satellite TV, desk and romantic viewing balcony facing the courtyard.  A bathroom with shower is located just outside the entrance door.

Upstairs the Master bedroom with it's oceanfront view is expansive.  The large 4 poster King bed is inviting with it's pillow top mattress and high thread count linens.  Equally appealing is the large terrace with teak chaise lounges just outside the French doors.  What a great place for your morning coffee.

The bathroom in the Master bedroom is also expansive with oversize shower, double sinks and closed wash closet.

The other second floor bedroom is also facing the ocean.  It, too, has a King bed, comfy mattress, quality linens and attached bathroom with shower.

For groups requiring more than the 3 bedrooms located in the villa, there is a very cute and comfortable 'casita' in the courtyard.  This 'little house' is done with the same quality finishing and character.  The casita has a bedroom upstairs with a Queen bed, attached bathroom with shower and small kitchenette.  

Downstairs has a large sitting area, games table, plenty of space for kids to play and a CD player for you to enjoy your favorite music.  There is a double sofa bed which works well for kids.  There is not a bathroom attached to this sitting area so anyone sleeping here must either share the one upstairs in the bedroom, or use the bathroom in the entrance hall to the villa.

Quinta del Mar is located on a flat rocky shoreline in the private Las Rocas area of the resort/residential community of Puerto Aventuras.  The flat rocky shoreline in front of the villa offers spectacular vistas, well appreciated privacy and lazy hours spent combing the shore for treasures.  On a calm day, snorkeling in front of the villa is spectacular.  A short stroll down from here is the Sunscape Hotel beach with its' sandy beach and protected bay.  Or the even nicer, Omni Beach with access to all of the Omni Hotel facilities, is a 15 minute walk or 3 minute car ride.  Puerto Aventuras offers many options for guests with restaurants, bars, shopping, golf, diving, tennis, swim with dolphins, deep sea fishing, sailing charters, parasailing and other activities & services within walking distance of the villa. · GUEST 2: King bed, main floor, A/C with individual control, bathroom not attached.
· CASITA: Queen bed, second floor, attached bathroom with shower, kitchenette, A/C with individual control
·OTHER: Sofa bed in Casita sitting area, A/C with individual control.  There is also a roll-a-way cot available for a young one.

   LOCATION: Flat, rocky, oceanfront.  Less than 5 minute walk to sandy beach.  Empty lots on both sides of the villa.
